Cheesy Corn Bake

Two kinds of cheese, corn, ham....add some chopped onion if you like (I didn't have any, darn it)  This makes 10-12 servings, great for a pot luck dish.


You'll need

2 tablespoons butter  
4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoons garlic powder
3/4 cup milk
6oz sharp cheddar cheese
3oz cream cheese
30 oz frozen whole kernel corn, thawed
3oz ham, diced 

In a large saucepan, melt butter

Stir in flour and garlic powder 





Add the milk 
Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until thickened and bubbly  
Stir in cheeses 
Cook, stirring constantly, over low heat until melted 
Stir in ham



Stir in corn.  Salt and Pepper to taste.  Don't be stingy!  this is a lot of corn.    




Transfer mixture to a 2 quart casserole dish   

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Mmm delicious cheesy corn bake!
